Mefiag - Filters & Pumps For Quality Filtration

Mefiag filters and pumps are designed especially for use with electroplating and other electrolytic or chemical process solutions to remove undissolved particles which could otherwise cause pitting, roughness and stressed deposits. These dirt particles can originate from:
• Dust in the surrounding atmosphere
• Grindings and polishing compound residues
• Anode sludge not retained by anode bags
• Parts falling from jigs and left to corrode at the bottom of the bath
• Undissolved salts resulting from insufficiently softened make-up water
• Dirt dragged over from previous baths

Mefiag filters and pumps are manufactured from selected materials of construction to resist the corrosive properties of the most aggressive solutions. Along with these versatile filtering units, Mefiag stocks a very wide variety of high quality filter media in almost any size, thickness and micron rating. Our filter media is available in a variety of man-made and natural fibres including:
• Filter papers, cloths and activated carbon discs
• Filter cartridges
• Filter bags
• Special material for absorbing oil and grease

Mefiag also supplies filtering aids such as diatomaceous earth to increase dirt-loading capacity of the media and activated carbon for removing spent brighteners and other organic contamination. Meductors are stocked and supplied for greatly increased in-bath solution circulation, improved heat distribution and enhanced plating speed.

Mefiag Filter Media is divided into the following groups based on your type of filter system and/or your specific application:

Filter Paper

	Available in standard thicknesses of 80 gr/m 2 (20 mµ), 280 gr/ m2 (10 mµ) and 400 gr/m2 (5-10 mµ). 1000 gr/m2 is available for high end applications. Paper can be delivered in any size. Standard sizes are 65/32, 90/32, 205/32, 295/64, 350/60, 470/60, 540/100, 820/100 (outer dia./center hole dia.) All dimensions in mm. Competitive sizes are also in stock. Activated carbon filter paper for removal of organic impurities is also available.

Filter Cambric

	Stronger than filter cloth, filter cambric is available for tough applications in polypropylene (25-50 mµ, 50-100 mµ and 100-150 mµ) and polyethylene (5 mµ and 10 mµ). Filter cambric can be delivered in any size including all standard sizes listed in the "Filter Paper" section.

Filter Bags

	Filter bags are available in a variety of lengths (10” and 20”) and micron ratings (0,1 mµ - 200 mµ) in polypropylene or polyethylene with plastisol (PVC) seal ring. Polyester bags are recommended for hot water/high pressure applications.

Sufima Discs

	Used in combination with filter paper to remove traces of oil and grease that arrives in the process tank by drag-out from previous degreasgin tanks, sufima discs can be delivered in various sizes including 400 gr/m2 (5-10 mµ) and 600 gr/m2.

Filter Cloth

	Cleanable and reusable filter cloth is available in polypropylene (5-10 mµ) and polyethylene (50-60 mµ). Filter cloth can be delivered in any size including all standard sizes listed in the "Filter Paper" section.

Filter Cartridges

	Filter cartridges are available in many varieties (heights 10”, 20” and 30”), wound (0,5 mµ – 100 mµ) or pleated (0,1 mµ - 20 mµ) in polypropylene or polyethylene. Filter cartridges are also available with activated carbon for removal of organic impurities.

Grease Absorbent Material

	These oil adsorbing filter units are especially developed for the filtration of pre-treatment solution such as alkaline degreasing, pickling, iron phosphate or removal of Tin IV from acid-tin processes.
